Declaration of General Average AU1/ MV Northern Jupiter Voy.949N

February 14, 2020

Dear Valued ONE Customer,

Declaration of General Average AU1/ MV Northern Jupiter Voy.949N

Incident in the Malacca Straits whilst sailing from Singapore to Port Klang on Saturday 4 January 2020

Further to our Customer Advisory dated January 30, 2020, we would like to update you on General Average status of the vessel and GA Security requirements for this incident.

We are pleased to inform you that the vessel is now planned to berth at PSA Terminal in Singapore on Friday February 14. Once the vessel discharges all cargo in Singapore, ONE will be arranging for all cargo to be carried to the destination ports as a priority.

We must remind that your cargo can not be released to you at the destination port until we receive approval for the release from the GA Adjuster.

This is because each cargo interest must provide all required GA securities for its own cargo.

We note that you have been provided with the requirements for provision of required securities in our previous customer advisory dated January 30.

For smooth cargo release to you at the destination, we provide summary of GA security requirements, again.

(Required securities)

  • Copy of the insurance premium invoice, if readily available. Otherwise, we add 0.1 per cent to the FOB value and sea freight value as insurance premium.

  • In case the cargo is not insured, Shipowners request a Cash Deposit of 10% of the CFR value into SHH Trust Account.

The necessary forms as well as our Standard Instructions in order to assist cargo/container interest in submitting sufficient General Average securities can be downloaded from SHH website: Casualty Area:

  • Enter vessel name Northern Jupiter
  • Enter case number 20.001-2
  • Click button "Find Case"

In the event you have any questions regarding the provision of required securities, please directly get in touch with SHH cargo team with the following email address:

[email protected]

Please note that for a smooth collection process without unnecessary delay, the submission of a complete set of sufficient General Average securities is mandatory.

Any insufficient General Average documentation will delay the delivery of the containerized cargo at the expense of the receivers.
