Based on National Advance Information Centre federal law # (52) of (2022), the UAE is implementing the Maritime Preload Cargo Information System (MPCI). This system aims to enable early risk and compliance assessment for maritime cargo bound to the UAE - 24 hours before loading at the last port of loading before the UAE, thereby enhancing border security and improving trade flows.

SAFETY MEASURES FOR CONTAINERS EQUIPPED WITH FLEXITANK
We would like to inform you about the implementation of new safety measures by the BTP – Brasil Terminal Portuário. Due to recent incidents involving damage to containers with flexitanks, which have caused operational impacts at the port and compromised the safety of vessels, personnel, and the environment, the terminal will adopt enhanced protocols for the handling and storage of this type of cargo. These measures will take effect as of today.
Hamburg Port Authority and Ocean Network Express Sign Agreement to Supply Container ships with shore power
Munich/Hamburg, 3 June 2025 – Friedrich Stuhrmann, Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) of the Hamburg Port Authority (HPA), Takahiro Kikuchi, Managing Director of Ocean Network Express (Europe) Ltd. (ONE) and Dr. Melanie Leonhard, Hamburg's Senator for Economic Affairs signed an agreement on the future use of shore power supply. The signing ceremony took place along the sidelines of "Transport Logistic 2025" trade fair in Munich, Germany.
