ONE Reinforces Its Commitment to Sustainability in Brazil with the Arrival of the Vessel ONE Synergy at the Port of Santos

ONE Synergy

São Paulo, February 10, 2026 – Ocean Network Express (ONE) Brazil celebrated last Friday, February 6, the inaugural call of the ONE Synergy at the Brasil Terminal Portuário (BTP) in Santos. The vessel’s arrival marks a new stage in the renewal of the fleet serving the Brazilian market, reinforcing the company’s commitment to operational efficiency and the global energy transition.

The ONE Synergy, a Neo-Panamax class giant measuring 335 meters in length, 51 meters in width, and with a capacity of approximately 13,932 TEUs, operates on the ONE SX1 service (East Coast South America Express 1). The vessel is part of ONE’s expansion plan, which foresees the delivery of 20 new high-technology vessels by the end of this year, with Latin America playing a leading role in port calls.

ONE Synergy

Standing out for its future-ready engineering, the ONE Synergy was built to operate with alternative fuels, being both methanol-ready and ammonia-ready. In addition to an optimized hull design that reduces fuel consumption, the vessel is equipped with shore power technology, allowing it to connect to the onshore electrical grid while berthed, eliminating emissions from auxiliary engines in port.

According to Artur Bezerra, President of ONE Brazil, the vessel’s arrival represents more than fleet expansion: “The arrival of the ONE Synergy proves that we don’t just talk about sustainability — we invest in it. This vessel reflects how ONE grows alongside its customers, combining innovation and responsibility to deliver real solutions such as ONE LEAF+ and the Eco Calculator. We are navigating with optimism to become the number one partner on the journey toward net zero by 2050.”

Beyond fleet modernization, the call of the ONE Synergy strengthens ONE’s ecosystem of digital and sustainable solutions, developed to support shippers in achieving their ESG goals. These include ONE LEAF+, which enables emissions reductions through the use of certified biofuels with full traceability, and the Eco Calculator, a tool that allows customers to measure and manage the carbon footprint of each shipment.

With a 63% reduction in Scope 1 emissions intensity (based on the 2008 baseline), ONE reaffirms its environmental agenda under the ONE Mission: Zero Emission. Following its call in Santos, the ONE Synergy now continues on its official route to Singapore.
