UPDATE #1 - MONITORING AND UPDATES REGARDING THE 2026 MANAUS DRY SEASON
ONE Customer,
We would like to inform you that ONE is closely monitoring the development of the hydrological situation in Northern Brazil and is actively working on implementation of necessary measures and contingency plans to mitigate potential impacts, ensuring the continuity of our services.
From a technical standpoint, the meteorological outlook points to a possible intensification of the El Niño phenomenon this year, which could result in a more severe dry season (low water levels) with impacts on maritime transportation in the region.
According to the 25th Hydrological Bulletin of the Amazon Basin, released by the Geological Survey of Brazil (SGB), the Rio Negro basin is already showing a slowdown in its rising water levels. In Manaus, the river level stabilized over the past week, reaching a draft mark of 28.50 meters, which is within the expected range for this time of the year.
At this moment, the Caribbean Express 1 (CX1), which serves Manaus and Vila do Conde, continues to operate normally.
As "Your Number ONE Shipping Partner", we will maintain transparent communication with regular updates regarding river levels and operational conditions.
