Our teams are already closely monitoring the hydrological situation in the northern region of Brazil and preparing for the dry season expected in the coming months. According to the 53rd Hydrological Alert Bulletin for the Amazon Basin, the Rio Negro in Manaus continues to recover, with average daily rises of 15 cm. On December 27, 2024, the river level reached 17.54 m. With this recovery we would like to confirm that, starting with the GSL Mercer with ETA Manzanillo, Panama on December 27, 2024

We are closely monitoring the hydrological conditions in the Manaus region. In recent days, we have observed a slight rise in the water level of the Rio Negro, which reached 12.25 meters this Thursday (17). However, according to the Brazilian Geological Service (SGB), this rise does not yet signify the end of the drought.

We would like to keep you updated on the hydrological conditions in Manaus. Last Thursday (10th), according to the records from the Port of Manaus, the Rio Negro saw no new marks of either receding or rising water levels, maintaining the previous day’s level of 12.11 meters.

We would like to inform you about the current hydrological situation in Manaus, which remains critical. According to the 40th bulletin from the Brazilian Geological Service (SGB), the Rio Negro has reached a level of 12.69 meters, surpassing the historical drought of 2023.
