UPDATE #7 – ONE CX1 NAVIGATION AND MONITORING UPDATE - RIO NEGRO, MANAUS 2025
As part of our continued commitment to transparency and operational safety, we are closely monitoring the situation of the Rio Negro in Manaus. The Western Amazon River Captaincy (CFAOC), part of the Brazilian Navy, has issued a new update regarding navigation procedures between Itacoatiara and Manaus, due to the ongoing decrease in the Amazon River water levels.

UPDATE#8 NOTICE OF SURCHARGE: LOW WATER SURCHARGE (LWS) POSTPONEMENT
This notice serves as an update regarding the Low Water Surcharge (LWS) applicable to/from Brazil (Manaus and Porto Velho Ports). Please be informed that due to the slower-than estimated decrease in water levels on the Amazon River, we are again postponing the implementation of the Low Water Surcharge (LWS). The effective date is being moved from October 15th to November 01st, 2025.

According to the 53rd Hydrological Alert Bulletin for the Amazon Basin, the Rio Negro in Manaus continues to recover, with average daily rises of 15 cm. On December 27, 2024, the river level reached 17.54 m. With this recovery we would like to confirm that, starting with the GSL Mercer with ETA Manzanillo, Panama on December 27, 2024
